Optimal Spring Repair
Best Practices
Garage door springs are under extreme tension and should only be repaired/replaced by licensed professionals. Most manufacturers distribute 10,000 cycle springs, which means you can raise and lower your door 10,000 times before you can anticipate one or more of your springs to break(ours are rated as high as 25,000!). If the door is used 3-5 times a day on average this will give a lifespan of about 7-10 years.
Using The Right Springs
Since garage doors come in all weights and sizes, the right springs need to be installed in order to properly balance the door. If a technician puts the wrong spring on your door, this will damage your overall garage door system, including drastically shortening the life of your opener. This is why Optimal technicians only install the highest quality, properly fitted springs for the door's weight and check their work by performing a balance test. We always maintain a full inventory of garage door springs on our trucks, so we can ordinarily repair/replace it in a single visit!
